The Cunard Line's RMS Mauretania was launched in 1906 and was the largest Ship in the World until 1910. She was 5 feet longer than her Sister Ship RMS Lusitania, sunk by a German U-Boat off the Coast of Ireland in 1915.
She captured the coveted 'Blue Riband' for the fastest East and West crossings of the Atlantic between the UK and the USA in 1907 and 1909 and held both records for twenty years.
